BeePre2 Output Upgrade - Hybrid Shunt Regulator and Low Impedance Balanced Output - Bottlehead

Upgrade your sound

BeePre2 is an impeccable preamp when built stock. But we offer a couple upgrades to make it even more incredible.

Our Bee2Quiet Stepped Attenuator upgrade replaces the base kit's potentiometers with coarse and fine attenuators stuffed with high-quality Dale resistors and adds a constant current source. Once that's installed, some builders install the Hybrid Shunt Regulator and Low Impedance Balanced Output to reduce startup thumps and convert one of the unbalanced outputs to a low impedance XLR.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Isn't the Paradyne much more powerful than the Kaiju?

It is, but because the Paradyne is a monoblock system it also takes up twice the room of a single stereo Kaiju. Some also prefer the characteristics of 300B tubes. Different strokes for different folks.

How much space do I need?

The Kaiju and the BeePre2 have the same footprint, so you'll need at least 35" of width and 14" of depth available.

Does this come with the mods?

Not unless you add them. Remember that adding mods when you buy the base kits saves you money on the kit and shipping.
