Bottlehead's Flagship System

We've paired our top-of-the-line BeePre2 300B preamplifier with our brand new, high-powered monoblocks - Paradyne. We've designed Paradyne to push more than 35 watts per channel - which is four times more power than our Kaiju 300B amp running in stereo configuration.

BeePre2 Output Upgrade - Hybrid Shunt Regulator and Low Impedance Balanced Output - Bottlehead

Upgrade your sound

BeePre2 is an impeccable preamp when built stock. But we offer a couple upgrades to make it even more incredible.

Our Bee2Quiet Stepped Attenuator upgrade replaces the base kit's potentiometers with coarse and fine attenuators stuffed with high-quality Dale resistors and adds a constant current source. Once that's installed, some builders install the Hybrid Shunt Regulator and Low Impedance Balanced Output to reduce startup thumps and convert one of the unbalanced outputs to a low impedance XLR.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

How will you ship these to me?

We pack each amp in the Reference System separately, so we'll ship three boxes (for just this - we'll need more boxes if your order contains more amps or preamps). Shipping separately allows us to protect components adequately.

What if I want the BeePre2 but I don't want monoblocks?

The Kaiju 300B amplifier kit is the right fit for you, then. In its stock configuration, the Kaiju is a nice stereo power amplifier. You can also expand your system and double the power by adding a second Kaiju later and reconfiguring them for monoblock operation.

Naturally you'll lose the added power and sonic improvements in the Paradyne, so make sure Kaijus output meets your needs.

How much room does the entire system take up?

The BeePre2 and Paradyne occupy the same footprint... except there are two Paradyne amps, of course. So you'll need at least 54" (18" x 3) of horizontal space if you want to display them in a row.
