New builders frequently ask what tools they need to get started. We were able to secure favorable pricing to bring this collection of high-quality tools to our Bottlehead friends for less than what’s available online and with a lot less effort. This collection includes:

• One pound of Kester 63/37 rosin core leaded solder. This will likely last you a long, long time and will help you make shiny, perfect solder joints.
• One Xuron 450 tweezer nose pliers, which we’ve found to be excellent at bending wires and attaching them securely to terminal strips or tube socket pins.
• One Hakko CHP 170 micro cutter flush cut wire trimmer. A trusted workhorse to remove all those excess leads. They’re on many a builder’s bench for a reason.
• One Xcelite 101 #1 Phillips screwdriver to attach hardware to chassis plates. The pictures show a 102, but we've adjusted the kit a bit and haven't had time to take photos quite yet.
