Sublime Subwoofer Amplifier Kit

Sublime is a very easy to build, nice sounding class D amplifier rated at about 30 watts into the 4 ohm load of a Subette passive subwoofer. It can take the input from both left and right channels and sum to mono to allow use of a single subwoofer. Two Sublime amps can be used for stereo subwoofers. Simply plug the left channel signal into the left channel RCA on the left amp, and do a similar amp and sub setup for the right channel. You can feed the Sublime signal from the second set of output jacks on our Moreplay and BeePre2 preamps. You can also feed the Sublime amp signal from the speaker outputs of any of our amps by using an RCA to banana plug cable (readily available from sources like Amazon). Output level is of course adjustable and the crossover frequency can be adjusted from 40 Hz to 160Hz. The assembly manual has suggested control settings for use with our amps. We suggest a crossover frequency of 70Hz when using the Subette subwoofer and Pipette speakers. Sublime will also work with other passive subwoofers, putting 60 watts into 2 ohm loads, 30 watts into 4 ohms loads and 15 watts into 8 ohm loads. All components mount under a laser cut aluminum chassis panel that sits in an alder wood base you assemble, just like our other amp and preamp kits.
