FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

What sonic improvements does the Speedball provide?

Speedball adds speed, detail, and control to the Bottlehead Crack. You’ll notice tighter bass, more precise imaging, and improved dynamics—without sacrificing the smooth, tubey character that makes the Crack so beloved.

Can I install the Speedball after I’ve already built my Crack?

Yes! Speedball is designed to be added after a standard Crack build. We recommend that builders start all kits in its stock configuration, listen a while, and upgrade later. If your Crack is working properly and built to spec, you can install the Speedball at any time as an upgrade. As always, our detailed instructions will guide you through the retrofit process.

Is the Speedball suitable for first-time builders?

Absolutely. Many first-time builders have successfully installed the Speedball. Just follow the manual step-by-step and take your time.
