Bottlehead Moreplay Preamplifier Kit
Moreplay is a retro-nod to our Foreplay preamp, which was our most popular kit of the late 90s and early 2000s. Foreplay was intended to be a basic and easy to build preamp to accompany our original S.E.X. amplifier kit which, at the time, was a power amp with no built in level control.
The Moreplay is a compact, line-level tube preamp that adds drive, dimension, and a touch of tube sweetness to any audio system. Featuring a 6V6-based circuit and three switchable inputs, it’s the perfect hub for digital and analog sources alike. Whether you’re building your first tube system or looking to enhance a solid-state rig, Moreplay delivers maximum musicality with minimum fuss.
The Bottlehead Moreplay has a universal power transformer and can be used worldwide by following the wiring instructions in the manual. Please note that international customers will need to provide their own power cord.
Our kits do not come with a badge, but you can buy one here. Because of a weird quirk in Shopify's shipping, international customers will need to drop a request in their amp's order notes instead of adding one to cart.
